Look into this stone and you’ll find a whole landscape: a ridge of deep green “moss” sweeping across smoky agate, above layers of honey gold like late light on a mountain lake. The moss isn’t plant life at all, but mineral formations captured in the stone as it formed, making every moss agate a one-of-a-kind scene.
Like its sister piece, this stone was found in Wyoming and cut and polished by my husband before I set it. The oval cabochon sits in a sterling silver bezel framed with segmented wire, on a hammered split shank band. Oxidized for an antique, heirloom finish, it’s handmade in my studio and truly one of a kind.
